BinaFikir, founded in January 2002, is an advisory and consulting firm covering the areas of policy; strategy; and financial advisory.

We are renowned as a boutique advisory house, providing a ‘seamless’ advisory value-chain emanating from industry policy and corporate strategy issues to execution aspects of the strategy such as mergers & acquisition (‘M&A’) advisory, group restructuring and structured product design.

We hold an Investment Adviser’s Licence issued by the Securities Commission, Malaysia and we are registered Consultants with the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia.

In November 2008, BinaFikir became a 100% subsidiary of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad), the investment banking arm of the Maybank Group. BinaFikir now also operates as the Strategic Advisory division of Maybank Investment Bank, which complements and strengthens Maybank Investment Bank’s product offering to the market.
