Investment Holding Company (Project Finance Advisory, 2007)

The project was a proposal for toll road concession in an overseas location. The scale of the project proposed was significant, both in terms of the toll road length and funding requirements.

BinaFikir provided project finance advisory services on the debt and equity structure of the special purpose vehicle envisaged to implement the project. We explored various Islamic finance debt structures suitable to tap international institutional investors. On the equity side, we identified a possible structure to ensure local stakeholder participation and control of the project, whilst still enabling significant foreign investor equity funding.
