Feisal Zahir (Executive Director).  Feisal joined BinaFikir as an Executive Director in September 2004. Prior to this, he was a Vice President in Citigroup Global Market’s Investment Banking Division based in Hong Kong and Singapore (formerly named Salomon Smith Barney), where he was responsible for coordinating the M&A and capital markets business development efforts for key target clients in the Industrial sector in the Asian region.

Feisal has over 15 years experience in accounting, financial advisory services, corporate finance (including M&A) and corporate strategy. At BinaFikir, Feisal has conducted strategic reviews for clients such as Malaysia Airports and AKN Group, where he has developed optimal business and corporate strategies as well as detailed execution plans for the strategies.  At Citigroup, his clients included multi-national corporations in the oil & gas, power, steel, shipping and finance industries. He has led or played a critical role in several high-profile and award-winning sophisticated investment banking assignments, including Deal of the Year transactions such as NatSteel’s M&A defence, Petronas’ bond offerings and a complete M&A-to-financing investment banking solution for Malaysia International Shipping Corporation Berhad (MISC)’s acquisition of American Eagle Tankers.  Prior to Citigroup, Feisal was an Assistant Manager with KPMG in London and worked on assignments including audit, tax, accounting and business advisory services.

Feisal read Economics, majoring in Accounting and Finance, at the London School of Economics. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and also a licensed Investment Representative from the Securities Commission of Malaysia.
